Dear Livonia Central Community and Students,
I hope this message finds you well as we gear up for the end of another school year. I'm excited to introduce myself as your new Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics. My name is Rick Ellis, and I'm thrilled to be joining the Livonia Central team.
My journey to Livonia has been a fulfilling one, with experiences that have shaped my passion for health, physical education, and athletics. I've spent time as a Certified Athletic Trainer, a teacher, and a coach, with a recent tenure as a high school principal in Warsaw Central. However, my heart has always been in the realm of health and physical education.
On a personal note, I live in York with my wife Penny, and together we have a beautiful family that includes six children and four grandchildren. Family, community, and a commitment to wellness are values close to my heart, and I'm eager to bring that energy to my new role here at Livonia Central.
As I settle into my position, I have hit the ground running, and I look forward to making rounds to introduce myself and get to know each of you. Your insights, ideas, and perspectives are invaluable to me as we work together to build a vibrant and healthy community here at Livonia Central.
