Thursday Night Wrap-up 🏀Senior Night at the Tom Downey Gymnasium was a memorable occasion as the Bulldogs celebrated their six seniors with a 57-41 victory over the visiting Eagles of Wayland-Cohocton. Senior captain Jackson Cook led the charge with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds while classmate/captain Connor Feehan contributed 19 points, including three 3-pointers. Tommy Stewart, another senior captain, added four points and 10 rebounds. Junior Nick Coyle showcased his versatility with five points, four assists, and four steals while classmate Vitali Ritz played several minutes, contributing 5 points. The ‘dogs win puts the squad at 9-10 out ahead of their final game of the regular season at Bath-Haverling next week. "Tonight was an emotional one as we paid tribute to our six seniors,” Livonia coach Jonah Martin said. “They are remarkable young men. They have wholeheartedly given of themselves, embracing our vision for this season as well as the future of our program. Their dedication, from coaching at our Bouncin' Bulldogs skills sessions to supporting our JV players to connecting with each other more outside of the gym, has left an indelible mark on the culture that we are aiming to build. We are immensely grateful for the memories that we continue creating this season and proud of the basketball that we have shown we can play when we fire on all cylinders." 🏀The 8th-grade mod Bulldogs traveled to Perry Thursday and gave the Yellowjackets a strong dose of offense and a stingy zone defense to start the game. The Bulldogs led 15-0 at the end of the first quarter and outscored Perry in every quarter while coming up with a 39-9 win. The perfectly balanced offensive attack of Brad Field 10 pts, Max Roberts 10 pts , Bryan Gibbs 10 pts and Aidan Gibson 9pts scored for the Bulldogs. Derek Mellen, Caden Neuhaus, and Hayden Dockslader stood tall at the top of the Bulldogs zone on defense to shut down any offense from the Yellowjackets. The Bulldogs will host Bath on Saturday at 9:30 am to close the season. The boys weren't on the side of victory, but they were victorious by their improvements since the beginning of the season. Cavan Dennis led the team with 11 points and Julius Martin-Routly scored 6 points. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Aidan Smith, Lincoln Richardson, Hunter Jones, and Blaine Bennett. Wednesday Night Wrap-up ⛷️Great job by the ski team last night. Boys took 1st (tiebreaker) with 3 in the top 10 and Max’s first place overall. The Girls took 3rd with 2 in the top ten. Rowyn Carter was the lone top 10 modified skier in 5th place. 🏒Lakers Hockey had a great turnout at the Ira for their final home game of the season last night. The final score was a 3-3 tie against non-league Hamburg. Their 4th tie in regular season play! Lakers started out the game slow, ending the first period down 2-0. The second period saw the Lakers tie it up 2-2 with an unassisted goal from Jack Ruter (Avon) and a tip in goal from Joey Cinquino, assisted by Dom Agosto (Geneseo). Third period, Lakers' defensman Dom Agosto snuck another by the Hamburg keeper from the point, assisted by Joey Cinquino. But the lead didn't last long as Hamburg again tied it up part way through the third. OT did not see any scoring. Lakers play their last regular season game Friday against Irondequoit at Lakeshore. Monday Night Wrap-up The Modified basketball team showed a strong performance in Warsaw shutting out the Tigers in 3 quarters and only giving up four points winning 40-4. All the Bulldogs posted points in the scoring column with a great defensive effort along the way. Weekend Wrap-up 🤼‍♂️The wrestlers went to Bath this weekend to compete in the Section V B1 Sectionals. It was a tough day on the mat where only the top 5 wrestlers in each weight class will advance to the NYSPHSAA Section V State Qualifier on February 10 at SUNY Brockport. 🎉Congratulations to Myles J for placing 4th at 152 lbs and Chayse B for placing 5th at 116 lbs. Balanced scoring led by Senior Captain Mary Kwak with 15 and Senior Captain Libby Kwak with 14. Kwak power! Kierstin Einhiple scored 11 and Freshman Molly Hitchcock added another 9. 🏀Building a 39 to 8 lead by halftime, JV Lady Bulldogs finished strong defeating Haverling 67 to 28! Every girl scored tonight, great team play. The team was led by everyone! Genthner, Walters, and Kingston scored 4 points. Clickner banked 5, Rowe had 7 and Meys added another 8 points. Snyder scored 10, Tumminelli 12, and Strom topped all with 13.

Thursday Night Wrap-up 🏒Thursday night Varsity Lakers hockey earned a W over Aquinas at home in Geneseo! This was their third win in a row. The Lakers started the scoring just one minute into the game with a goal from Jack Ruter (Avon) off a pass from Ryan O'Duffy. Lakers winger Will Schiener (Geneseo) picked up the second goal of the game assisted by Matt Mulvaney. First period ended with the Lakers up 2-0. Second period AQ put one on the board during their powerplay, AQ had many shots on goal in the second, our defense played huge, blocking many shots and forcing tons of turnovers. Aquinas tied it up with a goal (again on the powerplay) later in the period and then the Lakers scored their third of the game with another from Jack Ruter. Third period saw the Lakers score twice, one from Joey Cinquino, and one from Ryan O'Duffy. Our senior netminder Nick Lipome (Avon) along with the defensive line of Dom Agosto (Geneseo) and Jack Noto (Geneseo) locked it down at the end of the game, even with AQ having a 5 minute man advantage, final score was 5-3. The Lakers hit the road Saturday to play in the Winter Classic at The Farm in Vestal NY against Broome County. Puck Drop is 4pm, it's sure to be some action-packed outdoor hockey. Wednesday Night Wrap-up ⛷️The Boys Alpine Ski Team took 2nd place last night led by Caden Cavo with a 3rd and 4th Place finish. The Girls Team came in third led by Maeve Seeley with a 3rd and 7th place finish. The Mod Team also came in third led by Rowyn Carter.

Chloe Meys and Avery Snyder led the team with 9 points each followed by Kylie Tumminelli with 8 and Gwenyth Strom with 7. GO LADY BULLDOGS!!!! 🤼Last dual Wrestling meet of the season against Perry last night and the Bulldogs dominated! Pins by Brandon S, Ryan A, Landon F, and Luke H. helped land a final score of 48-27. The team is continuing to work hard before heading to Sectionals on Saturday.

The Varsity Girl’s team was led by Maeve Seeley’s 5th place and Catherine Rosser’s 12-place finish the team came in 4th. The Modified team was led by Rowyn Carter’s 6th place and Abby Coyne’s 13th place finish the team tied for third place.
