🏊‍♂️🏀Weekend Wrap-Up 🏀Varsity Boys Basketball: The Bulldogs opened their season against the Wayne Eagles, last year’s Class A State Championship runner-up, falling 80-50. Senior Derrick L. led the team with 23 points. Livonia’s roster includes seniors Derrick L., Ryan B. (G), Nick C. (G), Ethan M. (G/F), Cameron M. (F), and Vitali R. (F); juniors Owen A. (C), Jack H. (G), Chance W. (G); and sophomore Rider V. (G/F). All eight eligible players scored. Next, Livonia faces Geneseo and Hornell before hosting their home opener on Dec. 17th in the Tom Downey Gymnasium. Coach Martin noted improvement from last year’s performance against Wayne, calling this game a valuable experience to build on. 🏀JV Boys Basketball: The Bulldogs fought hard against Wayne but fell 59-33. 🏒 Lakers Hockey Pre-Season Wrap-Up 🏒 The Lakers hit the ice last week with a 3-scrimmage pre-season series, gearing up for an exciting season ahead! Here's how it went: Monday: The Lakers took on the Greece Storm, finding their rhythm to secure a 2-1 victory! Livonia's Joey C. scored both goals, assisted by Livonia's Ryan O. and Avon's Colt D. On defense, Geneseo's Dominic A. and Livonia's Logan P. anchored a strong effort, while freshman goalies, Keshequa's Kolton B. and Geneseo's Markus S., combined for 26 saves. Wednesday: Facing the talented Canandaigua Braves at home, the Lakers took a loss but gained valuable experience. Coaches played the full bench, giving younger players varsity-level ice time in preparation for the season. Saturday: In a fast-paced, hard-hitting matchup against Gates-Chili/Rush-Henrietta Spartans, the Lakers earned a 1-1 tie. Livonia's Max T. scored the Lakers' lone goal, with assists from Joey C. and Ryan O. 🏃‍♂️ Bulldogs Finish Strong at States! 🏆🐾 The Livonia Bulldogs competed at the State Meet this past Saturday in Queensbury, closing out a successful and memorable season by finishing as the 9th Class C team in New York State! 👏💙🧡 🌟 Team Results: Our first runner in was Aiden B., followed by Ryan B., Silas M., Chance W., Hunter O., Henry W., and Tytus J.. Attending the State Meet was a huge accomplishment, but the true success was the dedication, teamwork, and resilience the boys showed all season. 🫶 📖 Season Highlights: In September, the team ran at the Queensbury Invitational and left with a goal: to return for States as a team. Mid-season, they faced a tough moment after losing their division. Rather than let it define them, the boys met as a group, reset their focus, and pushed themselves harder than ever. They embraced a "team above self" mentality, setting a standard for future Bulldogs. 💪🐾 Coach Jenna Williams shared, “This season was a special experience to witness. The culture and connection these athletes created will set the tone for the next generation of Livonia runners.” 🎉 A Big Thank You! The Swimming and Diving team outlasted HFL this weekend at Class C Sectionals, winning 425-353. The team posted 62 best times and scores over the two day event, scoring very well in every event. Lanechain swimmer of the meet was Sophie Denney, for her first place finish in the 100 Free. With 18 participants advancing to finals, depth carried the team's success in filling up events with quality performances. At the end of the year, the team was 10-0, divisional champions, LCAA meet champions, and Class C Champions.

🐾 Swimming Sectional Prelims Alert! 🐾 Tonight, Livonia is making waves with 22 swimmers heading into Sectional Prelims —the largest group Coach Kiehle has ever taken! Livonia also leads the pack with more participants than any other team! 🌊💪 The last time we took home Sectional wins was in the fall seasons of 2017, 2018, and 2019. Now, it’s time to #BringBackTheBlock! 🧱💙🧡 To secure a spot in the Finals on Saturday, our swimmers need to place in the top 16 in their events. 🏆 Congratulations to the Livonia Boys Cross Country Team on their Section V Class C Championship! 🏆 Our Bulldogs brought home the title with a powerful score of 59, finishing a remarkable 29 points ahead of the second-place team! With standout performances from Ryan B. (5th, 17:02), Aiden B. (7th, 17:15), and Hunter O. (10th, 17:35), along with Silas M. (14th, 17:44) and Chance W. (24th, 18:08) rounding out the scoring runners, every athlete played a key role. Henry W. (25th) and Tytus J. (34th) also had strong finishes, helping to displace the other teams’ top runners! 💪🐾 The bond and dedication within this group—especially with 5 of the top 7 being seniors—created a "once in a lifetime" team dynamic. They pushed each other daily, running for the Bulldog in front, beside, and behind them. "In coaching, you hear, 'You can’t want it more than they do,' and this season, that NEVER needed to be said," shared the coaching team. "They wanted this win, they wanted this title, and they wanted to earn a trip to States together." 💙🏅 With Assistant Coach Dave Brongo by her side, Head Coach Jenna Williams expressed gratitude for the team’s hard work and chemistry that made this season so memorable. Now, it’s on to Queensbury for the State meet! Let's go, Bulldogs! 🐾 🌟 The Livonia Girls team closed out their season at the Section V Championship! 🌟 Leading the way, Gianna B. (41st, 24:07) shaved over six minutes off her time this season, while Natalie G. (42nd, 24:08) wrapped up a great freshman season. Senior Alaina T. finished with a lifetime best of 24:54, showcasing her leadership and dedication. Freshman Madelyn M. capped her season with a 3-minute improvement, finishing at 26:57, while Veronica B. demonstrated Bulldog grit, racing a 27:24 despite not feeling her best. This “small but mighty” team formed strong bonds and grew together, with 4 out of 5 girls set to return next year.
