It is our great pleasure to announce that artwork created by students in the LIvonia Middle/High School have been selected to be part of the 32nd Annual New York State Art Teachers Association Legislative Student Art Exhibit.

This annual exhibit is organized by NYSATA in partnership with NYSUT and in collaboration
with New York State Senate and Assembly. The goals of the exhibit are to showcase  art
programs to our legislators and to give young artists in grades k-12 an opportunity to receive
statewide recognition.

The Legislative Student Art Exhibit is also the flagship event for Youth Art Month, celebrating
the visual arts, encouraging support for quality visual arts programs and promoting art material
safety. Traditionally, this exhibit has a physical presence with an opening reception and
celebratory ceremony at the Legislative Office Building, Empire State Plaza, Albany NY. Due to
the global Covid 19 pandemic, this exhibit has temporarily shifted to an all-virtual format.
The NYSATA Board of Trustees invites you to view the virtual edition of this exhibit on the
NYSATA website at https://www.nysata.org/legislative-exhibit. The virtual exhibit will be
posted on March 1, 2022 and remain accessible through the 2022 calendar year.

The following students, representing the Livonia MHS Art Program, have their projects on
virtual display:

Alexia Auccello, Mya Barber, Charlotte Bird, Brooklynne Boop-Ellis, Cadence Chapman,
Katie Cooper, Lindsey Johnson, Brandon MacDougal, Claire Paul, Sara Perdue, Marissa
Salvatore, Lindsey Scheerens, and Lily Scutt.

Congratulations to our Livonia artists!
