The Livonia HS Art department is pleased to announce that we have four Art Students who will have their artwork on display at the upcoming 40th annual Congressional Art Competition. This time-honored tradition was started more than 30 years ago as a means to showcase the extraordinary and wide-ranging artistic talents of young people throughout our country. Please join us in congratulating the following students:
Ruthie M., Daisy S., Cadence C., and Carter R.
Ruthie M. submitted a Photo project that she created during 1st semester with Mrs. O’Neil
Daisy S. submitted a text portrait she created during 1st semester with Mrs. Metzler
Cadence C. submitted a color pencil marble drawing she created during 2nd semester with Ms. James
Carter R. submitted a Romare Bearden inspired Jazz collage he created during 2nd semester with Mrs. Vance.
Their artwork will be on display Saturday, April 30th at 10 am at the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council in Batavia. Congratulations to Ruthie, Daisy, Cadence, and Carter! We are so proud of you and of all of our hard-working art students who are persevering and creating incredible artwork!
