Each year our School Resource Deputy, Deputy Morganne Harrington, selects a student for the Livingston County Student of the Year Award. This student demonstrates bravery, courage and valor and has done volunteer work, shown leadership, been a positive role model, overcame a difficult situation, had a positive change in behavior, and or shown an act of kindness. This year's recipient for Livonia Middle/High School is Sarah C. Sarah is an extremely motivated student who is involved in the musicals, yearbook club, student council, National Honor Society, and leadership programs. She has played lacrosse, softball, and cross country at Livonia and is a talented musician and artist. Sarah is a natural leader and a wonderful role model. She is organized, responsible, intelligent, sensitive, ambitious, and most of all kind. Diagnosed with Type-I Diabetes her Sophomore year, Sarah did not let this get in her way and instead used her diagnosis as a motivation. Sarah is driven to help others in any way she can, especially others facing a Diabetes diagnosis. She has offered herself as a resource and support to other teens who may be struggling with a recent Diabetes diagnosis. She goes above and beyond in all things she involves herself showing how passionate she is.

🎓✨ Celebrating Our Outstanding Scholars! ✨🎓 We're thrilled to share our semifinalists and winners of the Livingston County Outstanding Scholar Award from Genesee Community College. To be nominated, students had to have earned credit or be currently enrolled in an Advanced Studies course through GCC in one of the following subject areas; English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, or Foreign Language. On May 31st and June 1, 21 students in grades 9-11 performed Level V and VI vocal solos at the NYSSMA solo festival held at Gates Chili High School. ALL students earned grades of 93 and above! Several of these students will now qualify to represent Livonia at next November's Senior High Area All State Chorus. Special recognition goes out to: Kallen M, Ayden S, Sophie B, Leah W, Lily S, Eliza G, Miranda B, Tori C, and Hannah W for all earning an A+ (97 and above). Well done musicians!
