Today, Livonia was thrilled to welcome back Reagan S., Class of 2023, who returned as part of her winter tour with her college a cappella group from SUNY Binghamton! Reagan and her group performed five incredible songs and led a workshop for our Treble Chorus and Livonia Live students, teaching them "What I Like About You."
It was inspiring to see one of our own return to share her passion with the next generation of Bulldogs. Thank you, Reagan, for representing Livonia and SUNY Binghamton with such pride and excellence! 🐾💙🎤

We’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at the turf installation for the Saunders’ Sports Complex as part of our 2024 Capital Project Phase 2. This is a huge milestone in creating a state-of-the-art facility that will benefit our students and community for years to come.
This project, approved by voters, reflects our commitment to enhancing safety, upgrading learning environments, and improving infrastructure across LCSD schools—all while staying tax-neutral. A special thank you to Mr. Saunders for his generous $1 million contribution to make this vision a reality!

🎉🏆 Livonia Wins the ICE Cup! 🏆🎉
For the first time in a decade, Livonia has reclaimed the ICE Cup! 🙌 Geneseo took the cup from Livonia and racked up 10 consecutive wins.
The ICE Competition (Interscholastic Competition in English) was held on January 9th at SUNY Geneseo, where our talented students competed against six other schools in Reading Interpretation/Literary Analysis, Creative Writing, and Dramatic Presentation. Livonia dominated the competition with exceptional teamwork and talent, bringing the coveted ICE Cup back home for the first time in 10 years! 🐾💙

Team Blue (McKenna C., Leah W., Matthew P.) earned 1st Place overall out of 18 teams! 🎉
Team Orange (Alaina T., Henry P., Rebekah H.) earned 5th Place! 👏

It’s only January, but our talented Bulldogs are already hard at work preparing for some incredible events later this year!

Students are matting and preparing artwork for the June Art Show 🎨.
Check out a finished mat, an amazing Hockney-style photo of the Lake Placid ice rink (taken during the Leadership Conference 🏔️), and a student editing photos in the Art Mac Lab.
🎭 In the Theater:
Rehearsals kicked off this week for Livonia High School’s Spring Musical, Mean Girls, running March 20-22. The first read-through is in the books, and the excitement is real! 🎬✨
Our students are pouring their creativity and passion into these projects, and we can’t wait to see it all come together. Stay tuned for more updates!

📍 On Thursday, they traveled to Honeoye and showed off their smarts:
🏆 JV crushed it with a 125-45 win over the home team and a dominating 140-20 victory against Keshequa.
🏆 Varsity staged an epic comeback, turning a 75-40 halftime deficit into a 190-110 triumph over Honeoye, followed by a commanding 180-40 win against Keshequa.
Both squads are undefeated at 4-0 for the season! 🐾💙

Tomorrow, January 6th is an F Day in the Elementary School and a D Day in the Middle/High School.

The last day before break, December 20th, was filled with fun and spirit at Livonia Elementary! Students rocked their PJs and jerseys. To top it off, there was a special surprise at dismissal—Santa himself made an appearance, along with our Livonia Bulldog mascot!
It was the perfect sendoff to the holiday break, filled with smiles, cheer, and plenty of Bulldog Pride. 💙🧡✨

On December 20th, our Kindergarteners brought the holiday spirit to life during their Sing-Along! Each class performed a song up front while the rest of the Kindergarten joined in, creating a joyful and heartwarming celebration of music and togetherness.

🎉 MHS Fun Day Recap!
On December 20th, Livonia MHS was buzzing with energy as students celebrated Fun Day before the holidays!
High school students (grades 9-12) enjoyed a day of ice skating, a spirited Pep Rally featuring Santa, and games like musical chairs, dodgeball, and human hungry hippos. Meanwhile, middle school students (grades 6-8) had a blast with a dodgeball tournament (shoutout to Mr. Chartier's team for the win!), a trip to the movies, and the hilarious pie-a-teacher event.

The United States flags shoud be flown at half-staff effective immediately until sunset on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in honor of the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter, who passed away this afternoon in Plains, Georgia.
🌋💡 Science fun alert! Ms. Torrey's class got hands-on today with a lava lamp experiment! 🧪 Students explored the science behind this mesmerizing activity and had a blast creating their own glowing, bubbling masterpieces.
🎁 Mrs. Kuhn's Class Spreads Holiday Cheer 🎁
This holiday season, Mrs. Kuhn's class embraced the spirit of giving through a project we call The Gift of Giving:
✨ They collected extra snacks for students who may forget or need a snack at school, donating them to a neighboring classroom and the counseling center.
✨ Families surprised the nurse by donating clothes to stock the nurse's office with items for younger students.
✨ The class also decided to help Mrs. Debattista’s class by filling their toy shelf with gently used toys. Mrs. Debattista is new to Kindergarten, and the class wanted to make her feel welcome while ensuring her students have plenty of toys for a fun year ahead.
Way to go, Bulldogs! 💙🧡
