Photos courtesy Meys Photography 🏈The Livonia Bulldogs traveled to Bishop Kearney this past Saturday for their final regular season game of 2023, looking to gain some momentum heading into Sectional play. They came away with a convincing 42 to 6 win and will have an opportunity to extend their season for at least one more game. Livonia forced a Bishop Kearney on their first series and Livonia's first score was set up by a Kyle Wetterings punt return to the Bishop Kearney 2-yard line. Jackson Trubia would run it in from 2 yards out to put Livonia on the board. The Bulldogs' defense would stall another Bishop Kearney possession in the first quarter and get the ball back. Trubia would once again score on a QB keeper from 1 yard out and Levi Woolston would add the extra point to make it 14 to 0. Late in the first quarter, Bishop Kearney would get on the scoreboard with a 15-yard pass reception. In the second quarter, Livonia's defense came up big again as Seth Eadie intercepted a B-K pass and took it into the end zone from 29 yards out. Eady would have 2 interceptions on the day. Later in the second quarter, Livonia would put up another score, this time from a 59-yard run from Kyle Wetterings. Kyle would have his best-rushing game of the year as he finished up with 174 yards. The Bulldogs took a 28 to 6 lead into halftime. Livonia would come out in the second half and add 2 more touchdowns, compliments of Owen Wetterings who scored twice in the third quarter, one from 25 yards out and the other from 19 yards out. Owen finished the day with 148 yards as Livonia's offensive line was dominant and would lead the way in the Bulldogs ground attack as the Dawgs finished up with 360 yards on the ground. Jacob Benitez would add 10 yards and Wyatt Zeismer would finish with 1 rush for 15 yards. Defensively, the Bulldogs were led by Eadie's 2 Interceptions. Tommy Stewart and Zach Williamson would chip in with 2 sacks each and 7 and 8 tackles respectively.
