Weekend Wrap-Up
Varsity Hockey lost their last regular season game Saturday to HFL/ Brighton/ ER. Lakers are scheduled to play their first sectional game on Thursday at 8pm in Webster against Webster Schroeder.
JV Lakers finished their season 7-2-1 on Sunday with their 5-1 win over Churchville-Chili. This is the first time in 5 years that the JV team has had a winning season. The JV program usually includes many players that double roster on the varsity team which makes for a very busy schedule for these athletes. Great job to the Livonia JV players, Ryan O'Duffy, Travin Ellison, Owen Cirillo, Matt Mulvaney, Max Traugott, and Joey Cinquino as well as all the Geneseo and Avon players! Special thanks to Coaches Matt McDonald, Brendan Wiley, and Michael Hubacher for a fun and memorable season!

🏒 Varsity Lakers hockey fell to Brockport/Spencerport Royals in Brockport last night. Lakers skated hard despite playing 3 games in as many days. The Royals took a big lead mid game by capitalizing on Lakers penalties, scoring 3 on power plays. It was a hole the Lakers could not dig themselves out of. Final score was 11-5 putting up points this game was Joey Cinquino scoring 2 goals and Shane Melead with 3. Assists went out to Christian Rumfola, Jack Ruter, Jack Noto, and Derrick Wigley.

Wednesday Night Game Wrap-up
🏒The Varsity Lakers Hockey team had a big win over Rush Henrietta/ SOTA last night at the Scottsville ice arena. Final score 8-3.
🚨 AJ Agosto, Fletch Kingsbury, and Joey Cinquino each knocked in a goal. Ryan O'Duffy scored his first of the season.
🚨🚨Shane Melead and Derrick Wigley each added 2 goals to the final tally. An all around, strong team effort last night! Lakers play again tonight in Brockport at 5:00 against a strong Portside Royals team. They will play their last regular game of the season on Saturday at home in Geneseo against HFL/ Brighton/ ER at 3:00.
🏒 The JV Lakers team will be also playing their last regular season game this weekend on Sunday at 10am in Scottsville against Churchville-Chili.

🏀 JV Girls Basketball had a big win over Bath Haverling last night! Congratulations girls and let’s carry this into Way-Coh Friday.
🏀Varsity Girls basketball won over Haverling 50 to 21 in a LCAA-DI league game. Balanced scoring led by Junior Kylie Buckley with 22 points followed by Sophomores Mary Kwak with 9 and Emma King with 8. Senior point guard Kelsey Stewart added another 6 points and Libby Kwak had 5 of her own. GREAT TEAM EFFORT!
🏒 Varsity Lakers Hockey lost to Batavia Notre Dame United last night in a game that was close to the bitter end. Highlights of the game included a hat trick for Shane Melead and 3 assists for Derrick Wigley. At the end of the third period we were tied 6-6 but the Lakers took a penalty in the final 2 minutes which resulted in a power play goal for Batavia with only 12 seconds left in the game. It was a hard fought game and the boys played fast and strong all 3 periods with very few errors. Varsity Lakers play today at 4:30 in Scottsville vs RH/SOTA, Varsity Lakers will also play tomorrow at 7pm at SUNY Brockport vs Portside Royals and again on Saturday at 3pm at Geneseo vs HFL/Brighton.
🏀 Varsity Boys Basketball lost to Haverling 67-62. The host Bulldogs could not hold on to their halftime lead as the Haverling Rams outscored Livonia 38 to 32 in the second half. Livonia went to the line 21 times but only could convert 8 of them. Evan Swan led all scorers with 20 points, 12 in the 4th, and 7 rebounds. Chris Coyle added 10 points and 6 assists, Jake Watkins 10 points and 5 steals and Jack Kearney scored 10 points and 6 boards.
Monday Night Wrap-up
🏀 Varsity Lady Bulldogs pulled out a victory over LCAA-D1 opponent Dansville 34-33. Kylie Buckley scored a basket on an assist from Kelsey Stewart with 5 seconds remaining in the game.

The National Weather Service winter storm warning continues through tomorrow at 1 PM. This evening's forecasts indicate that the heaviest snow will continue into the overnight with persisting snowfall throughout the morning. This will cause adverse weather conditions tomorrow morning and require significant snow removal throughout the school day.
In order to give families time to prepare, we are making the call tonight as it seems clear based on current conditions and forecasts that tomorrow morning will continue to be a concern and clean up efforts will likely continue throughout the day.

As the winter weather event is forecasted to intensify late this afternoon and this evening, all afterschool and evening activities are cancelled today.
Will continue to monitor conditions and forecasts throughout this weather event. We will provide another update later this evening to make a determination regarding school status for tomorrow.

Wednesday Night Wrap-up
🏀 Livonia Varsity boys baskeball beat Hornell 64-60. Livonia's Chris Coyle scored 21 of his game high 27 points in the second half, including three three’s in the fourth quarter to pace the Bulldogs past Hornell. Bulldogs were up 59-58 with 32 seconds to go and Coyle got fouled on an attempted three pointer. He knocked down all three foul shots to put it to a two possession game, 62-58. Livonia stopped Hornell on their ensuing possession and the Red Raiders needed to foul get the ball back. Livonia’s Justin Skelly eventually was fouled with :10 seconds left and hit both foul shots in a 1 and 1 situation, to put the Bulldogs up 64-58. Livonia was 7-7 from the FT line in the fourth quarter. Hornell put back a missed shot as time expired to end the game at 64-60. Gennaro Picco led Hornell with 24 points. Livonia’s Evan Swan had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs. “Great win for us tonight, a win that we very much needed. The guys played with great intensity and played very well together tonight in a place that is tough to play at. Very proud of our effort tonight!”
Congratulations to Kylei and her family! Kylei was celebrated yesterday evening with a family cheer "show off" to kick off the 2022 competition season!
Tuesday Night Wrap-up
🏒 Varsity Lakers hockey lost 8-5 to Aquinas last night, away at Lakeshore. It was an exciting game with action at both ends of the ice.
🚨🚨🚨🚨 Derrick Wigley scored an amazing four goals in the game. Christian Rumfola (Avon) had a 3 point game with 1 goal and 2 assists. Shane Melead notched 3 assists, while AJ Agosto (Geneseo), Jack Ruter (Avon), and Nick Teachout each had 1 assist. Nick Lipome (Avon) was in net and logged an impressive 28 saves. Varsity Lakers play RH/SOTA on Thursday at 4:30 in Scottsville.
