On March 14, the ES Page Turners team traveled to Mt. Morris for their second competition of the year. They took Second Place for the year behind Wayland-Cohocton - 1. Other teams they competed against were Avoca, Dansville, Mt Morris, and Wayland-Cohocton - 2. Our team of 5th graders have worked hard as a team since September reading 22 different texts, brainstorming hundreds of questions, and practicing for many hours. They had a lot of fun along the way, too! This year's team consisted of; Bailey B., Nadia B., Gianna E., Aubrie F., Jillian F., Blake F., Logan J., Emma L., Rose M., Mehregan M., Emma P., Hunter S., Jack S., and Isabella Z.

The ES Student Advisory Council invites you to celebrate Spirit Week March 27th - March 31st.
4th Grade attended an RPO concert at Eastman Theatre yesterday. The program, The Orchestra Dances, featured 8 different composers and dance movements from Bernstein's Mambo from Westside Story to Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 1. They also learned about rhythm, beat, and tempo.

Mrs. Hinds's 4th-grade class is busy learning about the Iditarod Dog Sled Race that is taking place in Alaska. Students are reading their steps to move along the trail, researching and following mushers, setting up their own dog teams, and earning their spots in the race. Today in math, they worked on measurements, area, and perimeter by creating an actual dog sled team template. They are having a great time!

🚜 March 4th was School Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day. Our Maintenance Workers are essential to keeping our facilities prepared for learning. They go above and beyond every day to make sure that our staff and students come to well-maintained buildings and grounds. Thank you for all you do!
