On Tuesday, the BrainStormers team closed out the regular season with two matches at the Mt. Morris BOCES center. The first match was scoreless in the opening quarter, but Livonia finished strong to defeat York 290-130. In the second match, the Bulldogs toppled Avon 300-160. No official word yet, but it looks promising for Livonia to end up in the final four, therefore advancing to the playoffs. Top scorers for the night were Ellie D (90 points), Matthew P (40 points), and Hannah W (30 points). It was truly a team effort, though, with everyone contributing in various ways! Nice job!

🎨The Livonia MHS Art Department would like to congratulate the following artists for being selected to participate in the 2024 "Start Here" High School/Middle School Art Exhibition. Their work will be displayed at RIT from January 19th to February 3rd, 2024. Congratulations go to: Hailey B, Shelby G, Kaylie H, Brenna K, Emilie M, Morgan M, Leah W, and Isabella Z.
RIT's "Start Here" is an invitational exhibition in RIT's Bevier Gallery featuring student artwork selected by high school and middle school teachers in the Rochester and Finger Lakes regions. An opening reception is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, in Bevier Gallery — an awards ceremony will also take place in Webb Auditorium. Food and refreshments will be available. All are welcome to attend. The exhibition is on view Jan. 19 to Feb. 3.
On Tuesday afternoon, the BrainStormers team kicked off the season. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs dropped both matches. They fell to Cal-Mum 220-130 to start and then went down to the wire in a 150-140 loss to Geneseo. However, the good news is that the team gets a chance to rebound on January 30! The top scorer was Ellie D (100 points).
On Tuesday, the middle school math team had its second competition of the year. Despite being short one team member, they still managed to finish in 4th place for the day. This is a young team, the only team in the league with sixth graders, so it’s only a matter of time before the Bulldogs climb toward the top! Today’s top scorers were Claire P (18 points), Audrey D (14 points), and Nolan C (11 points). The third and final competition of the year is on February 6.
Students in the MHS Library made over 50 holiday cards that were delivered by Elf Grace to the Monroe Community Hospital! Imagine all the cheer and joy these cards spread to people who really needed it during the holidays! Great job Bulldogs!
