Thanks so much to Gabrielle Reid, Class of 2016, who joined us today for at Lunch and Learn to talk about her job at NASA!
The Academic Challenge Bowl team won all three matches on Thursday evening. They beat Pavilion 270-100, toppled Wyoming 350-270, and took down Byron-Bergen 280-150. They finished the regular season at 5-2, with the two losses coming from a night of forfeits due to scheduling conflicts. The strength of this team is highlighted by the fact that, in two separate rounds, every single Livonia player answered at least one question correctly. That might not even happen once in a season, let alone twice in one night! Top overall scorers for the night were Ellie DeBolt (190 points), Miranda Bailey (130 points), and Matthew Parry, Owen Austin, and Gavin Seeley (60 points each). Nothing’s official yet, but the team has likely earned a spot in the playoffs on November 30! Great job!
Reminder: Monday and Tuesday are half days for all students and Wednesday-Friday school is closed for Thanksgiving Break.
