The Academic Challenge Bowl (ACB) team was back in action tonight for the first time since February 2019, and there was no sign of any rust at all! A 420-80 win over Avon was followed up by a 430-130 victory over Cal-Mum. Top scorers for the day were Ellie DeBolt (220 points), Miranda Bailey (190 points), and Owen Austin and Gavin Seeley (40 points each). The veterans clearly did set the pace, but there were several rookies getting their first look, as well. Both Emily Whittel and Matthew Parry had great opening nights, jumping right in and taking chances that paid off! It was an impressive start to the season!
