On Thursday, the MasterMinds team traveled to Mt. Morris for its penultimate regular season meet. The JV team beat Honeoye 155-125 to open the afternoon, but they fell to Belfast 140-115 in their second match. The Varsity team took down Belfast 195-50 and then went on to knock off Keshequa 190-80. That puts the Varsity team at 9-1 for the season, locking up first place for the regular season! Top scorers for the day were Ellie D (145 points), Matthew P (80 points), and Rebekah H (20 points). The regular season concludes on 4/11 in Belfast. MHS students attended the District 11 NYS CLSA (Council on Leadership and Student Activities) today. District 11 comprises Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. Students led students on how to improve culture and be good leaders in the future.

🎓💯Congratulations to the Class of 2024 they are officially 100 days away from graduation! Students celebrated this afternoon with cake, watching a video of teacher messages, and signing a graduation gown as a commitment to finish the year and walk across the stage in June.
In honor of Pi Day, some of Mrs. Cotraccia's students made a pie with the best ingredients: algebra and calculus!

Our E3 students had a great day at RIT yesterday exploring engineering and technology. This year's event focused on students presenting and learning through the experience. We decided to have an in-school competition so congrats to our Livonia winners!
On Monday, March 18, 2024, phase 2 of the Capital Project will commence. The fields and sidewalk behind the field house will be closed until approximately December 2024. Please use the sidewalk on Bulldog Boulevard to walk between buildings.

Congratulations Kalllen M! Kallen was recognized by Senator Helming for the Youth Leadership Recognition Award. Senator Helming presented 24 outstanding juniors from 22 school districts with this honor at a ceremony on March 8.
The award program recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional leadership and achievement in academics, athletics, music, arts, and/or community service. 🦎🌿📖Mrs. Potts adopted some Leopard Geckos for her classroom. They have yet to be named but they are getting along very well with the students. They are already helping with lessons about endothermic regulators vs exothermic regulators during Living Environment as well as enrichment in the classroom. 🧠🔍
🎉 The MHS Odyssey of the Mind teams went to Regionals this weekend and came in 2nd and 3rd place in their divisions. OM encourages divergent thinking to solve unique problems. OM emphasizes teamwork, budgeting, time management, public speaking, and so much more! Congrats to our MHS Divison II OM teams!
On Friday students in STEM 6 practiced engineering by planning and building marshmallow towers.
Mrs. Pierce sent in a shoutout for her phenomenal 7th-grade students who absolutely crushed their Linear Functions Assessment, an 8th-grade level topic! 🚀🎉 The pictured students scored a perfect 💯, making it the largest group to ace an assessment this year! She is beyond proud of their dedication and hard work. Each student received a full-size candy bar as a token of appreciation for their outstanding achievement.
