Miss Lane's PreK class has been learning about dinosaurs & fossils and today they had a special visitor! Dr. Malinowski is a Paleontologist and came to talk to them about dinosaur bones and fossils! They examined real dinosaur bones and made their very own fossil impressions! Thank you, Dr. Malinowski, for taking the time to come visit us!🦕🦴🦖
This month's Principal read-aloud was all about keeping our playground a safe and inclusive space for everyone! Mr. Wittel shared the story "The Buddy Bench" by Patty Brozo. 📖💖 Students learned about the importance of looking out for others and making sure everyone feels included during playtime.

OM emphasizes teamwork, budgeting, time management, public speaking, and so much more! Livonia has 4 teams competing this year!

We welcomed the team from Geneseo Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry for a special visit today! Our students got the inside scoop on all things dental health, from brushing and flossing techniques to the importance of healthy eating for strong, happy smiles. 😁🍎 Check for a new toothbrush in backpacks this week!

🍁 Mrs. Patti's class had a turn in the woods today with Mr. Sheldon's Climate Connections Club 🌳🍁🍁The class had a lot of great questions and wondered how the clear sap that looks like water gets turned into sticky brown syrup! The Club is finishing up its collection for the season.

🌿🍁 What a beautiful day for a nature walk! Today, Livonia's Climate Connection Club had the pleasure of taking Mrs. Hind's 4th-grade class on an exciting adventure in the woods 🌳. With temperatures soaring to a remarkable 70 degrees in NY in March, it was the perfect opportunity to explore the great outdoors!
🍁🍁 Our main agenda? Checking out the maple sap collection and paying a special visit to a tree that Mrs. Hinds' class named Maple in the Fall!! 🍁🌿 The class learned about measurements taken at every sap collection and even got a turn to hold the graduated cylinder used to measure the number of drips per minute the tree produces.

Mrs. Hinds' class is busy learning about the Iditarod and had a fantastic visit fromTwisted Willow Siberian Huskies today. They learned all about the parts of a sled, important gear, dog positions on the sled, mushing terminology and MUCH More!
🏆Congratulations to our ES Bulldog Pride Award Winners for February! These individuals are being recognized for doing their best work, being their best selves, respecting others, and valuing our school community in the cafeteria (before school at early drop-off, during lunchtime, or during dismissal for parent pick-up students). Congratulations!!! An award will be mailed home to each student.
🎶Congratulations to our ES students who were selected to participate in All-County Festival III this weekend. Festival III includes Elem. Chorus (grades 5/6), and Sr. High Band (grades 10-12). Students are chosen from 12 area school districts. They will be performing tomorrow at Wayland-Cohocton the concert begins at 1:30pm. The concert is free and open to the public.

Today in Kindergarten, classes embarked on a delicious journey straight out of a Dr. Seuss book! 📖 Our little learners bravely tried GREEN EGGS AND HAM! 🌟🥳 Like Sam-I-Am, some were curious to try it while others were not! Reactions were mixed, but they had a lot of fun taste-testing the creation! 😋💚 🎉🍳
