Please find attached your test results for the lead in drinking water sampling completed for Livonia Central School District on February 1, 2021

Some critical points you need to know:

1. All Samples were first-draw samples taken 8-18 hours after a period of no use
2. Results must be made to public (Most districts report in on their website)
3. You must enter the sample data into the HERDS system. Data is entered for each building-sometimes you must calculate a proportionate cost per building.
4. Close down fixtures that have failed until repairs are made or post a sign at the fixture indicating it is non-potable water-do not consume.

I have attached the lab reports but have summarized samples that were elevated for your convenience: The action level for lead in drinking water is 15 ppb or 15 ug/L as listed on your lab reports. Any fixtures that are at the action level or higher require immediate action. Shut down the fixture or post a sign that it is non potable. Fixtures you intend to use for consumption must be repaired and retested before use.

Summary of samples higher than 15 ppb or 15 ug/L:

• High School
  • HCONCFR. Concession stand sink on the right (This is the concession stand by the football field)
• Elementary Building
  • KPREPF. The one closest to hall door but not the dish wash sink
• Lead Sampling KEY
  • In general, the number is the room number or a location very close to the room number (typically used for water coolers or bubblers).
  • F-Faucet
  • B-Bubbler
  • WC-Water Cooler
  • WCBF-Water Cooler Bottle Filler
  • L,M,R – Left, Middle, Right
  • N,W,S,E – North, West, South, East
  • a,b,c,d,e,f…. Are samples within a room – typically starting on the left as you enter the room is a. If all the faucets are on the right side of room the first sample a would be the first faucet you come to.
