Livonia Central School District (Livonia CSD) Facebook and Instagram pages are created and maintained by the District for the purpose of communicating with the parents of the children we serve and the Livonia CSD community. The pages are intended to share information on specific school district topics of interest.
We will update the pages as often as possible to share news about the District, highlight the achievements of our students and staff, and provide other relevant information for our school community.
All posting of comments on this page is at the discretion of the page administrators. The intent of this policy is not to prevent negative or critical feedback, but to protect the privacy and rights of Livonia CSD staff and students. Naming specific employees or students in a negative manner will not be permitted.
Page administrators will review postings to ensure they do not violate District policies, regulations, the Code of Conduct, or Acceptable Use Guidelines related to internet use. We also encourage all users to review Facebook’s and Instagram’s Terms of Use, which govern interactions on the platform.
We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to engaging with our community. However, we will remove postings that:
- contain profane, defamatory, offensive, or violent language
- include hateful or discriminatory comments based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or political beliefs
- include links or comments with sexually explicit content
- attack specific groups or are meant to harass, threaten, or abuse an individual
- are inappropriate, in poor taste, or contrary to the purpose of the page
- do not show proper consideration for others’ privacy or are likely to offend or provoke others
- identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or negative terms
- violate the law or encourage others to do so, including copyright and fair use laws
- are spam
- are political in nature
- are personal promotions
- promote products, services, or brands
The page administrators reserve the right to remove any comments at any time, for any reason, and to block individuals who misuse the page.
Any advertisements that may appear on or be linked to this site are not endorsed or promoted by Livonia Central School District.
If you have a comment or would like to report an inappropriate post for review, please email Amy Evans at aevans2@livoniacsd.org.
Please note that you can receive updates via email or text notifications through your personal Facebook settings.
If you do not want your comments or identifying information released in response to a public records request, please do not post on this page. Instead, contact the District directly by phone or in writing.

District residents who are NOT Livonia Central School District parents, guardians, or staff members can now join the district's community groups on the ParentSquare app. The district uses ParentSquare as its primary communication tool to connect with parents and staff. This new initiative will help to expand connections with the Livonia community.
To sign up, please complete the Community Group form. You will receive a confirmation email to activate your account once you complete the online form. Livonia Schools hopes this new tool will help build an even stronger community network that benefits everyone.
-
The District publishes the Focus, a community-wide newsletter, on a quarterly basis. Print editions of the Focus are mailed out upon request and available electronically at the links on this page.
-
The official newspaper of the Livonia Central School District is the Livingston County News.
-
If school opening is delayed, canceled or having an early closing, the district will make an automated call and text to the primary contact phone number for each student and staff member. The delay or closing will also be posted on the district website and the following radio and television stations will be notified:
- WHAM 1180-AM
- WYSL 1040-AM
- Warm 101.3
- WBEE 92.5
- WCMF 96.5
- The BUZZ 98.9
- 98 PXY
- WROC-TV 8
- WHEC-TV 10
- WHAM-TV 13
- Spectrum News 1
- FOX Rochester
These stations will be notified as soon as the decision is made; however, the on-air announcement will be made according to the radio or television station's schedule. Please do not call the school.
On days when school is closed due to bad weather or other emergencies, all extracurricular and evening activities are also canceled.
Families should have a procedure to follow in the event of an early closing. It is important that children know what to do if they come home early and find no one there. Please be sure to make prior arrangements for the care of younger children if no adult will be at home during the day.
