🔶🔷 Throwback Thursday – Mark Petelin 🔷🔶
Class of 2001
Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog! 🐾💙🧡
🎶 From the Dawg Pound to the conductor’s podium! Mark P. is now back where it all began—teaching 6-8 General Music, 7-8 Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, and serving as HS Musical Pit Conductor here at Livonia. Talk about Bulldog Pride!
Mark has also been a dedicated coach, having led:
🏑 Boys Modified Lacrosse (7 years)
🥍 Boys JV Lacrosse (2 years)
🏃♂️ Pole Vault (3 years)
When reflecting on his time as a student, Mark shared:
"My time at Livonia doesn't have any one thing that I remember the most fondly. I just have a huge collection of memories that sum up my time as a kid that I can look back on. Like the chorus competition at Hershey Park where I was asked to be the drummer accompanist my senior year. The rock bands formed with my friends playing all of the hits of the 90s. The Summer basketball leagues with Coach Tom Downey. The Summer workouts preparing for football season. Band field trips to Springville, Gorham, Nunda Fun Days, for music competitions. The many people that I met as a musician in All-County and Area All-State bands." 🎤🎸🥁
Now, as a teacher, Mark is proud to carry on Livonia’s legacy of musical excellence:
"I was a student who was in the ensembles and now a teacher trying to keep that high standard going." 🎼
Thank you, Mark, for keeping the beat strong in Bulldog Country! 🐾
