The school budget supports students first. But Livonia CSD also supports the whole community.

The proposed budget helps provide classroom instruction, special education, student services, transportation, music, art, athletics, clubs, college credit opportunities, and student support.

The District also supports community life through concerts, plays, ceremonies, athletic events, and other school activities that are open to residents.

Community members also benefit from school facilities and programs, including hall walking, fitness center access, pool access, and continuing education opportunities when available.

Livonia CSD is also a major local employer and purchaser of goods and services. Several years ago, an economic impact review estimated that the District supported hundreds of local and regional jobs through direct employment, purchasing, and employee spending. While that data is not a current-year estimate, it shows an important point: the school district plays a meaningful role in the local and regional economy.

Strong schools help support a strong community.
